Discipline Policy

Discipline Policy

1.         All players, team staff and executive members are subject to the rules and by-laws of the C.S.A., and the O.S.A., the leagues in which they participate and the Hamilton & District Soccer Association.

2.         Disciplinary costs accrued by an individual as the result of a disciplinary hearing or review shall be the responsibility of the individual or his/her team.

3.         If a club member feels that he/she has been unfairly disciplined, he/she may appeal to the executive committee to assist in covering all or part of any fine imposed.

4.         If the club is fined for the action of a player or coach, then the team account of the responsible party (ies) shall be liable for such costs.

5.         Coaches are responsible for understanding the discipline procedures for their league, and for ensuring that such procedures are followed.

6.         Participation in a game by a suspended or ineligible player or coach may result not only in heavy fines but also in severe sanctions by the Club.

7.         Any player or coach who commits a serious infraction or a series of minor infractions related to competitions, practices, ethics, club policies or conduct unbecoming of a Sparta representative may be brought before a disciplinary committee convened by the Club President to deal with such allegations or actions. Decisions of that committee may be appealed, in writing, to the executive at large, within 72 hours of notification of the decision.
